Laser Hair Removal<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Laser hair removal is one of the most effective treatment methods today for removing unwanted hair. By directing concentrated light at the hair follicles, the light is converted into heat that destroys the hair follicles. Since the body has different hair growth cycles, approximately 6-9 treatments are required to achieve permanent results. Hair growth can return for several reasons, such as hormonal changes, pregnancy, medications, and other uncontrollable factors.<\/p>\n

How does laser hair removal work?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The pigment in the hair strand absorbs the energy. The heat destroys the protein around the hair follicle so that no new hair can grow out. It is only in the growth phase that the hair strand is in contact with the hair follicle and can be destroyed.<\/p>\n

About 2-3 weeks after the treatment, the hair from the damaged hair follicles begins to fall out.<\/p>\n

Since not all hair in the treated area is in the active growth phase, it is usually expected that 6-9 treatments are needed. Treatments are typically done with 6-8 week intervals so that dormant hairs, which are not destroyed during treatment, can grow out. This is, of course, individual and depends on the treatment area and the speed of hair growth.<\/p>\n

  • Avoid sunbathing about 1 month before and after treatment.<\/li>\n
  • Avoid activities that increase blood circulation for 24 hours after treatment.<\/li>\n
  • Do not wax or pluck the area between treatments.<\/li>\n
  • Always shave the area you will treat 1 day before your scheduled appointment.<\/li>\n
  • Always use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 for four weeks after treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
